We have different groups of users based on their dependence on Goldmine
(GM) and their proficiency with it.  We have a few "power users" of
Goldmine who are starting to using the Goldmine synchronization feature
(marketed as GoldSync) to collect all their data together.  Those users
use it as their email client because it then associates emails with their
contacts.  They use the "notes" fields heavily and also the calendar.
Another much-loved feature is the ability to use a modem to dial phone
numbers for voice calls (thus avoiding mis-dialing).

Most of our staff who use GM just use it as a PIM which can also manage
snail mail (i.e. print labels) and email lists for mass mailings to their
donors.  If we could cover those uses and also tie it in to our
donation-handing system (aka "receipting") that would be a great start.
